Energy Savings

Minimizing air leakage allows fiberglass batt insulation to perform as designed and reduces need to use spray foam insulation.

Added Savings

A tightly sealed structure allows for the use of a smaller HVAC system and ductwork.

The AeroBarrier air sealing system tackles air leakage to boost insulation performance. If outside temperatures infiltrate walls/floors/roofs, the insulation’s “true” R-Value is compromised. AeroBarrier optimizes the performance of any insulation, including spray foam. This reduction in air leakage may prompt a reevaluation of insulation material. AeroBarrier makes fiberglass insulation more cost-effective and efficient, saving builders over $2,500 when replacing open cell spray foam. The savings are even greater than closed cell spray foam. AeroBarrier complements spray foam by eliminating any remaining air leakage

Verified Measurable Results

The AeroBarrier air sealing system uses verified software that accounts for the building’s many variables, such as square footage, number of windows, doors, and bathrooms. The software combines with an industry standard blower door, which meets ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) standards, to deliver measurable results you can track in real time.

With AeroBarrier, there’s no question of whether or not you pass inspection. The system updates every 90 seconds and tracks in both ACH50 and CFM to accommodate different air requirements, eliminating the need for any further calculations.

Upon completion, the AeroBarrier Connect air sealing system automatically provides you with an air sealing certificate. This certificate includes data to assist with final inspections, including:

  • Initial air leakage
  • A graph showing air leakage reduction over time;
  • Total amount of time for the air sealing process;
  • Final air leakage after the sealing is complete with a percent of change comparing before and after air tightness.

Our certificate provides you with the satisfaction and confidence of knowing that you met your requirement. No other air sealing method out there can provide this guarantee.

AeroBarrier Meets Any Building Requirement

Allows Builders to Meet Energy Code Compliance with Ease

Aerobarrier makes meeting requirements – such as 2018/2021 IECC, LEED, Energy Star®, Net Zero or Passive House – more practical and affordable than ever before, all with guaranteed results.

The increasingly stringent building code changes in Washington present many obstacles to a builder’s construction process. Learning new techniques, hiring additional support, adding new products to the build and increasing labor time can become costly to a builder’s operations.

  • AeroBarrier easily integrates into any build process and removes the need for hiring additional labor to meet the new air sealing demands
  • AeroBarrier allows builders to perform more efficiently than before and future-proofs build process against future code changes

The Sealant is Safe and Durable

AeroBarrier is GreenGuard Gold certified with Ultra-low VOC content and no off-gassing. Work can resume in the home within 30 minutes.

The X1 sealant achieves durability performance in 3 key areas: flexing, aging, and compatibility in tests simulating 50 years of service.

AeroBarrier is UL Listed and approved as an air barrier for all L500, M500, P500, U300, V300, and W300 series assemblies.

Versatile Applications For All Types of Buildings

Beautiful exterior of newly built luxury home

Single Family Homes
- Delivers Affordable Air Tightness -

For residential applications, reduced building envelope leakage means increased durability, reduced mechanical loads, improved energy efficiency and more economical renewable energy options. More importantly, a tighter building envelope can help increase the comfort and overall indoor air quality (IAQ) within the home, leading to a better living environment.

In new construction or gut renovation applications, AeroBarrier accurately seals at any stage from rough-in to move-in. Depending on the climate zone and environment, a builder or homeowner may prefer to have their air barrier post drywall as opposed to pre-drywall, or vice versa.

AeroBarrier’s innovative technology does not discriminate when it comes to air leakage, finding leaks that are hidden behind surfaces or in areas that are unobservable and impossible to reach by hand, offering more flexibility in air sealing than ever before. With average air sealing completion times of 60-90 minutes and a re-entry time of 30 minutes, your additional trades can quickly pick up operations, allowing you to stay on schedule.

Upscale Condo Buildings

Multi-Family Buildings
- Compartmentalization Made Easy -

One of multi-family construction’s most important practices is also one of its largest obstacles: unit compartmentalization, especially at party walls. This is critical to properly control fire, smoke, odor, sound, and IAQ.

A properly compartmentalized building ensures ventilation systems can work effectively, especially if the building uses a shared ventilation system. If a multi-family building is not properly air sealed, air is more likely to be pulled from adjacent living spaces instead of fresh outdoor air sources. Reducing the amount of air leakage in multi-family buildings also lowers the amount of moisture traveling in the air, decreasing the likelihood of mold and water damage.

AeroBarrier also allows your buildings to reach more demanding air tightness requirement levels at a more affordable cost, which provides you with tax incentives in addition to higher tenant demand and rents.

Commercial Buildings
- Fast Path to Energy Savings -

AeroBarrier reduces up to 80% of the building leakage, saving energy, improving indoor air quality and building resiliency, and bringing commercial buildings within the US Army Corps of Engineers specification for building envelope leakage. Using AeroBarrier in new or retrofit commercial applications improves the air sealing effectiveness, reduces labor costs, shortens the time needed for air sealing, and improves the consistency of installation.

AeroBarrier’s system lets you place up to 8 sealing stations and can easily cover up to 10,000 sq ft. No more manual air sealing commercial projects and being unsure whether they will meet your air tightness goal
